Our Mandate

TACOSODE implements a range of strategic approaches to achieve its core objectives. Our mandate is clearly outlined in the organization’s Strategic Plan, which serves as a guiding framework for our programs and initiatives.

We are committed to creating meaningful impact in the areas of Governance and Accountability, Health—including HIV and Mental Health, Women and Youth Development, Environment and Climate Change, and the Rights of People with Disabilities and other marginalized groups. Below is a summary of the key objectives that drive our work.

Our Objectives

  • To promote, co-ordinate and facilitate collaboration and bring together by meetings or otherwise, international and national voluntary organizations, associations, persons and other bodies involved in Social Development interventions.
  • To build the capacities of Citizens and Institutions on environment conservation, land reclamation as well as health and safety at workplace. For example, around mining areas, industries, areas affected by natural disasters and other human economic activities
  • To promote and encourage any charitable endeavors for the benefit of Community Development activities aimed at combating poverty, ignorance, disease, and disasters.
  • To provide services to organizations for social development and social welfare in Tanzania, including training, technical assistance, information, and such other services as may be necessary to achieve the above purposes.
  • To obtain, collect and receive funds and resources by ways of contributions, donations subscriptions, legacies, grants, or any other lawful method, and to accept and receive gifts of property of any description them.
  • To Support and expose women and youths to entrepreneurial opportunities towards fighting against poverty, unemployment, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Mental Health challenges.
